About This Workshop

This interactive workshop aims to address the challenge of bringing academics and practitioners together. Led by Dr Chris Hargreaves and Prof Pavel Gladyshev, the workshop will consist of several organised presentations from senior practitioners on the real-world challenges they face.

Academics will then attempt to distill challenges from each presentation, and then work in self-selected groups to further explore those challenges and propose research directions that would help address these identified needs. The session will conclude with short presentations by each group on their discussions.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this workshop you will be able to:

  • Describe the most significant issues for digital forensic practitioners
  • Identify others in the field with an interest in similar research topics
  • Propose research directions addressing identified practitioner needs

Who Should Attend

Anyone with an interest in learning about, and addressing, real problems faced by digital forensic practitioners. Both academics and practitioners are welcome.

Active participation in the workshop is required!
