Active participation in the workshop is required!

Description:

This interactive workshop aims to address the challenge of bringing academics and practitioners together.

Led by Dr Chris Hargreaves and Prof Pavel Gladyshev, the workshop will consist of several organised presentations from senior practitioners on the real-world challenges they face.

Academics will then attempt to distill challenges from each presentation, and then work in self-selected groups to further explore those challenges and propose research directions that would help address these identified needs. The session will conclude with short presentations by each group on their discussions.

Practitioners are also welcome and encouraged to attend. There will be an ‘open session’ for the non-scheduled practitioners to describe challenges (similar to lightning talks) to get additional challenges captured and on the research agenda. You are also welcome to circulate around the groups of academics and help direct potential solutions to ones that are practical.
