The Cyber-investigation Analysis Standard Expression (CASE) open-source Community (CASE Community) is a consortium of for-profit, academic, government and law enforcement, and non-profit organizations that have created a new specification for the exchange of cyber investigation data between tools. The DFRWS USA 2019 conference CASE workshop focuses on teaching digital investigation tool developers how to implement CASE. The workshop will include a hands-on example for mapping a data model to the CASE specification. Additional instruction on using existing CASE APIs and supporting tools will be provided. This workshop is best suited for software developers of all experience levels. At the end of the workshop, the attendee will have the knowledge, skills, and relationship with the CASE Community necessary to adopt the CASE specification into their own tool development efforts.
